DemonHunter helps you identify demon types in Demonologist! Keep this open on your phone during investigations.

Start with basic demon signs - observe responses to crucifixes, holy water, and prayer books to narrow down demon types
Pay attention to manifestation patterns - each demon manifests differently, from Prowlers' stealthy approaches to Watchers' distant observation tactics
Learn to identify possession indicators - distinctive traits like Corruptors' multiple victim possessions or Deceivers' subtle influence become recognizable with experience
Check periodically as demon behaviors may change with game updates

Visual Indicators

Confirmation & Elimination

As you record demon behaviors, entities will be visually marked two ways:

Highlighted Demon

When evidence confirms a specific demon, it will be highlighted with a blood-red border. This indicates a likely match based on your observations.

Crossed-out Demon

When evidence eliminates a demon, it will appear crossed-out. This means this demon has been ruled out based on your observations.

Examples

  • If you check "Responds to biblical verses," Deceiver will be crossed out (eliminated)
  • If you check "Corrupts holy water instantly," Tainted will be highlighted (confirmed)
  • The more behaviors you document, the more precise your identification becomes

This visual system makes it easy to quickly identify the most likely demon during your exorcism.
