What is GhostFinder?

GhostFinder helps you learn ghost identification in Phasmophobia! As you play and observe the behaviors, you'll start recognizing patterns - like how a Mare constantly messes with lights, or how a Deogen always catches up no matter where you hide. Over time, you'll find yourself naturally remembering which ghost does what, making identification second nature.

Usage Tips

Game Strategy & Advice

We like to use it on our phones.

Start by focusing on basic behaviors first - notice how certain ghosts never do certain things, like Wraiths avoiding salt or Mares refusing to turn on lights
Pay attention to hunt patterns - each ghost's hunting behavior is unique, from the Demon's early hunts to the Yokai's reaction to voice chat
Learn to spot signature abilities - distinctive traits like the Poltergeist's multiple throws or the Banshee's unique parabolic microphone sound become easy to recognize with practice
Check back regularly to stay updated on any ghost behavior changes

Visual Indicators

Confirmation & Elimination

As you check behaviors, ghosts will be visually marked in two ways:

Highlighted Ghost

When a trait confirms a specific ghost, it will be highlighted with a purple border. This means this ghost is a strong possibility based on your observations.

Crossed-out Ghost

When a trait eliminates a ghost, it will appear crossed-out. This means this ghost has been ruled out based on your observations.

Examples

  • If you check "Ghost stepped in salt," Wraith will be crossed out (eliminated)
  • If you check "Unique scream on parabolic," Banshee will be highlighted (confirmed)
  • The more traits you check, the more ghosts will be confirmed or eliminated

This visual system makes it easy to quickly identify the most likely ghosts during your investigation.
